Mohebban Kids go tree planting

The importance of the environment and taking care of Allah’s (swt) creation is something that many people tend to over look. Mohebban Al-Mahdi Youth Foundation recognises the importance of the environment and our duty towards the community. Therefore, we grouped up Islamic Unity Society (IUS) and Red Rose Forest to create a woodland in part of Heaton Park in Manchester. Grouping up with fellow organisations with the same interests, allowed the children who took part in the tree planting to learn the importance of team work and working with the others from the community. Working with the Red Rose Forest organisation allowed us to understand how we could help by making our communities a healthier and much greener place to live in and investing in praiseworthy deeds such as tree planting is something that everyone should consider. Mohebban constantly promotes the key principles of helping others which allows us to reflect upon the values in which social solidarity is vital to keep communities together. The Mohebban kids planted over 500 trees and played their part to improve the environment in their city of Manchester and carried out one of their Islamic obligations which will surely be rewarded in this world as well as the Hereafter.
